LiveStyles Fest | Cork Hiphop Festival | Bboy Battle

Taking place in Cork City over the June Bank Holiday Weekend Livestyles Fest is Cork’s 1st Hip Hop festival.
Lot of international artists coming over for the event, including some of Europe’s top breakdancers and graffiti artists.
Breakdance Battles as well as MC Battles. If you’d prefer to just listen to some good music and relax there will be plenty of gigs in various bars around town as well as workshops for young and old!

Cork’s first ever Bboy Battle

Lots of national and international breakers coming for the event. This is sure to be one of LiveStyles main events and a rare glance for the Cork public into the world of breakdancing.

Formats

3vs3 Bboy Battle

They’ve got space for 6 Bboy crews to battle. This will be done in a league format, so each crew will battle each other over the course of the day. 3 points for a win, 1 for a draw and 0 for a loss.
Prize – 1st place 500e

Last Man Standing

This is a concept battle developed by BboyWales and BBoy Chaos. Think your good? Well let’s see how long you can last. This battle will feature 6 bboys, who will battle it out until only 1 bboy remains. Everybody starts with 3 balloons representing lives, losing 1 if you lose your round. We’ll be using the official Welsh Open rules
Prize – 1st 150e + Dusto ‘Sick Steps’ Jacket

Skill Masters Qualifier

This years ‘Great 8’ is all being done via qualifiers. If you think you have what it takes and want the prestige of being of of the great 8, this 1v1 battle is for you.

Afterparty
Flava Floorz dance studio has just moved and so has the party. Once the event is over we’ll all be headed over to Flava Floorz for a graffiti exhibition by TDA Klann, which will be followed promptly by Circle Sessions 2. This party will be private so you don’t need to worry about the dance floor getting glass on it, not getting in because of you kicks or anything else, just make sure your ready to jam.
